BECAUSE
REPRESENTATION

MATTERS

ABOUT

OUR
STORY

At The Little Things TO, we believe creativity has the power to change lives. What starts as a small spark of imagination can grow into confidence, self-expression, and even world-changing ideas.

That’s why we create arts-based learning experiences and mentorship tools that invite people of all ages—children, youth, and adults—to explore their passions and share their stories. Our workshops, resources, and programs are designed to be culturally relevant, inspiring, and empowering, so everyone feels seen and supported in their creative journey.

From a preschooler picking up a paintbrush for the first time, to a youth discovering their voice, to an organization seeking to foster innovation and connection—The Little Things TO is here to remind you that the “little things” truly do matter.

Because when creativity is nurtured, confidence grows. And when confidence grows, communities thrive.

MEET
OUR FOUNDER

Cheyanne Reid is a community-focused leader, children’s book author, and founder of The Little Things TO. With over 15 years of experience in youth work, arts programming, and nonprofit leadership, she has dedicated her career to creating spaces where creativity, representation, and empowerment thrive.

As the Director of  Operations at SoundCheck Youth Arts—Canada’s first free Black-led musicians’ community centre—Cheyanne has raised millions to support youth and arts initiatives. Her deep belief that representation matters inspired her to write books such as We Did That!, showcasing Black inventors and innovators, and to design culturally relevant, arts-based workshops that help individuals and organizations unlock their full potential.

At The Little Things TO, Cheyanne blends her expertise in education, creativity, and leadership to empower children, youth, adults, and organizations to embrace self-expression, build confidence, and create meaningful change.

Whether through interactive workshops, consulting services, or creative resources, her mission is simple: to show the world that the little things truly do make the biggest difference.
